This option just keeps getting better and better!

Hayward’s Safari House adjoins the DINOKENG GAME RESERVE.

Our 2’500 acre private reserve is only available to our guests and is private. Bobbejaansberg (Baboon Mountain) Private Nature Reserve is comprised of rolling sedimentary hills and magnificent Transvaal bushveld interspersed with savannah grasslands and is ideal for safer type safari pastimes such as walks, rock climbing, fly fishing, mountain biking, horse trails and picnics, as the bigger more dangerous game are not present. This sanctuary is an ideal reserve as a base from which to set off each day on an exploration of the surrounding hinterland, rural villages including Cullinan, home of the world’s biggest diamond ever found.

This BIG 5 DINOKENG GAME RESERVE is currently 25’000 hectares. The region boasts well over 300 bird species, vast indigenous Boekenhout & African syringa forests that are inhabited by various antelope species with notable sightings of elephant, rhino, leopard, brown and spotted hyena, lion, cheetah and caracal. Guests may also encounter baboons, vervet monkeys, and even rare and elusive species such as bush pig, pangolin, civet, genet and aardvark whilst on guided walks or game drives. Easy access by helicopter, luxury 4×4 vehicles or a shuttle bus can be arranged and costed accordingly.

Hayward’s Safari House can arrange your visit to this neighbouring Big 5 reserve where you can either self-drive on their roads (at a fee) or take a guided game drive or walk through the area on pre booked excursions.
